McClung, Jr. The notebook was produced by Walton, Whann & Co. and includes a printed Calendar for Planters and Farmers covering 1871 to 1873. McClung added a February 1874 roll call for C Company of East Tennessee University Cadets and a list of officers and cadets on the blank pages at the end of the book.

Biographical/Historical Note
Franklin Henry McClung was born to Franklin Henry and Eliza Ann (Mills) McClung in New Jersey on July 30, 1856. He graduated from East Tennessee University in 1875 and went on to pursue a career as a lawyer. McClung died in Knoxville in approximately 1940.
