Biographical/Historical Note

The Oak Ridge Resident Graduate Program was initiated in 1946 as a relationship between Union Carbide and the University of Tennessee. The Program offered graduate courses leading to graduate degrees in energy or related sciences. Most students were full-time employees of Union Carbide or another government contractor.
