University of Tennessee Building Blueprints and Other Materials
This collection consists primarily of blueprints documenting a number of University of Tennessee buildings, including Ayres Hall, Morgan Hall, Taylor Hall, Hodges Library, and Hoskins Library. It also houses plans to a building called University Hall (1894), which was never built. The collection also contains a number of building plans, including documents showing the president's office, an armory, and a library designed to hold 24,000 volumes. Finally, Box 15 houses a complete set of the original 1982 renovation plans for Hodges Library.

Biographical/Historical Note
Ayres Hall was finished in 1921, Dabney Hall in 1929, Taylor College of Law in 1950, the Agriculture Building (eventually named Morgan Hall) in 1921, Hoskins Library in 1931, Hodges Library in 1969 (with a complete renovation done in 1987), Dunford Hall in 1963, the Music Building in 1966, the Art and Architecture Building in 1981, and the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. University Hall (planned in about 1894) was never constructed.
