This collection consists of the report of a special committee on education to the Tennessee State Legislature in 1893. It addresses a number of topics relating to the University of Tennessee, including the scope of instruction and accuracy of the Treasurer’s books. President Charles Dabney is commended on his leadership of the university. The report also addresses Knoxville College, Peabody Normal College, colored scholarship students, the Tennessee Industrial School, and Watkins Institute.
