Biographical/Historical Note
The School of Information Sciences has strong roots in the library and information professions dating back to 1928. Accredited since 1972, the School has achieved regional, national, and international recognition through its award winning faculty, innovative research, and Center for Information Studies. Its leading-edge curriculum and respect for intellectual diversity makes the program one of choice both to Tennesseeans and out-of-state students.
