This collection consists of an article written by Estelle Jarnagin Naff entitled "The Battle of Mossy Creek: Yankees Defeat Rebels." Biographical/Historical Note

Estelle Sevier Jarnagin Naff was born on December 7, 1877 in Mossy Creek, now Jefferson City, Tennessee. She was the great-great-great granddaughter of Governor John Sevier. Her mother, Katie Hubbard Jarnagin (wife of Dr. John Sevier Jarnagin) was a young girl when the Battle of Mossy Creek took place. Estelle Jarnagin married William Blair Naff in 1903.
