Biographical/Historical Note
The Hurricane Iron & Mining Company was located in Aetna, Hickman County, Tennessee near Swan Creek in the late ninenteenth and early twentieth century. The materials primarily used were low-grade iron, coal deposits, and timber. In the 1920s, the company was liquidated and sold to the Scott Tie Company.
