Abstract

The collections show architectural photographs of construction and post construction of the university buildings that were built by McCarthy Architects. The buildings included in the photographs of the Humanities and Social Sciences Complex, Art and Architecture building, Hodges Library, the buildings around Circle Park, the Presidential Court complex.

Biographical/Historical Note

The McCarty Architectural Firm designed and built many buildings on the campus of the University of Tennesse. The 126 photos in this collection depict the pre-construction and post-construction process of Hodges Library, the Humanities and Social Sciences complex, the administrative buildings around Circle Park, Stokely Sports training complex, Humes Residence Hall, the Presidential Court Dining Facility, and the Clarence Brown Theater.

This collection consists of one half box containing 126 photographs.
