Photographs of the University of Tennessee
This collection includes sixteen photographs approximately 1.5 x 3 inches. The donor purchased these pictures from either Cole's Drugstore or Ellis and Ernest Drugstore in Knoxville, Tennessee during her freshman year in 1943. Several images include Alumni Memorial Auditorium, Ferris Hall, Morgan Hall, Henson Hall, the Main Entrance, the Library, and many other buildings and locations.

Abstract
This collection includes sixteen photographs of various buildings and locations on the University of Tennessee campus that were purchased as souvenirs from a local drugstore in Knoxville, Tennessee. These pictures were collected circa 1943 by Jo W. Henry (née Sara Jo Watson), a University of Tennessee alumna.
Biographical/Historical Note
Jo W. Henry (née Sara Jo Watson) is an alumna of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She purchased a collection of sixteen photographs 1943 as a freshman from either Cole's Drugstore or Ellis and Ernest Drugstore. The latter drugstore was bulldozed to make way for the Carolyn P. Brown University Center in the 1950s. These photographs picture several well-known locations on the University of Tennessee campus including the library, residence halls, and auditoriums. Taken circa 1943, these images show the university before the construction of the current Neyland Stadium and the addition of several other halls and class buildings.
