This collection houses publications, minutes, notes, directories, memorabilia, and other materials documenting the University of Tennessee's Alumni Association.
Alumni Hall Association Records
This collection consists primarily of lists of the University of Tennessee's graduated classes from 1871 to 1936. Most of the lists are divided by college and many include the graduates' last known addresses as of the 1940s. Also included is correspondence from University Deans and professors dating from 1915 and 1917 respectively.
Alumni Memorial Building Renovation Program
This collection consists of a copy of Alternate Facilities Program: Renovation of the Alumni Memorial Building dated March 11, 1996.
Alwin Thaler Papers
The papers of Dr. Alwin Thaler consist of copy and notes used in the preparation of two books. One book was in co-editorship with Prof. Charles Mills Gayley. The book was Vol. IV of Gayley's "Representative English Comedies." The second book, whose galleys or printers proofs are in the collection, is Thaler's "Shakespeare and Democracy."

One of the copies of the list is labeled as having been revised in December of 1941; this copy features many handwritten additions to the list, including a note saying that the copy was corrected in 1955.

Ambrose M. Paine Papers

Ambrose Whitlock Land Deed
This deed grants Ambrose Whitlock 80 acres of land in the district of Terra Haute, Indiana. It was signed by President James Monroe on September 10, 1823.
American Anti-Slavery Society Leaflet
This tract opens with the Declaration from the formation of the American Anti-Slavery Society in Philadelphia on December 4, 1833. On the third page, it provides the preamble to the Constitution of the Society and the beginning of an address given to the Society in New York City on May 7, 1844. This address explained their reasons for calling for secession from the Union as long as slavery is tolerated. On the bottom of the fourth page are listed four anti-slavery newspapers.
