This collection consists primarily of correspondence between Dwight H. Stuckey and World War II fighter aces John Alden Tilley, Daniel J. Zoerb, George Carpenter, and Gil Niceley. In these letters, the pilots recount their memories of their military service. Also included are signed biographical sketches of pilots Major General Ralph Gordon Taylor, Major Robert W. Moore, and Marion Franklin Kirby.

This collection houses meeting minutes, memorial resolutions for Anna Chandler and Angie Warren Perkins, correspondence, a narrative of a trip to Panama, and other materials documenting the Athene Circle of Knoxville, Tennessee. Much of the information shows Anna Chandler, one of the Circle's earliest members.

Scope and Contents Note From the Collection: Margaret Barton Crozier Ramsey kept this diary while she was in exile in North Carolina during and shortly after the Civil War. In it, she describes the destruction of her home in Tennessee, her journey to and life in North Carolina, the churches she attended, her religious views, her homesickness for her life in Tennessee, and her feelings toward the Union Army.
