Scope and Contents Note

The first section includes Notes of the J. E. Cooke Lectures of 1830-'31 on the Theory of Practice of Medicine. The notes begin November 27, 1830 and continue through January 12, 1831. The second section is labeled Notes on Surgery taken from B. H. Dudley Lectures 1830-31 and is undated. In the back is an account of the Missionary funds of Sweet Water kept by [H?]. F. Cooke.

Beginning at a large post oak tree The N. E. corner of Kef. land running nearly south with Keyfauvers line to the corner 49 poles. Thence with Kef. line 135 poles to a stake in the pond. Thence west of north (degree not known) [??] with the crop fence 66 to a rock. Thence a straight line to the beginning corner.
