some 2 weeks since there [sic] fell a very uncommon shower near Lebanon, Wilson County consisting as is supposed of Blood & putrid flesh its fall was 1/2 mile in length and several hundred yards wide there was much talk on the subject Professor Troust of Nashville visited the place and collected and is endeavouring to ascertain its real component.
