Subtillis cells and Billen's personal notebooks, which contain summaries of Billen's accumulated data. Also included are student experiments, graphs, and computer-generated data sheets.

Collection consists of a letter handwritten by Daniel Bond concerning the 1886 Tennessee gubernatorial election. Bond, a prominent West Tennesseean, states his support for East Tennessee's choice for governor, Robert Love Taylor. The letter was written to A. J. McWhirter, the Commissioner of Agriculture for Tennessee and friend of Taylor.

This collection contains three letter advertisements from Daniel Briscoe, Bro. & Co. / Importers / and / Wholesalers / Dry Goods, / Notions / -and- / Furnishings of Knoxville, Tenn. One, undated, is about the "Greatest Mail Order House" in Knoxville. The other two are about the 1904 and 1905 spring goods for sale at prices under market value.

This collection houses a single letter from Daniel Davis to his brother. In it, Davis details his regiment's march from Nashville to Dechard, Tennessee (southeast of Tullahoma, Tennessee.) At that time, the 46th Pennsylvania was detailed to guard sections of the Nashville-Chattanooga Railroad.

In this letter dated August 3, 1850, to Sarah J. Armstrong of Jerusalem, Va. Daniel Douglas describes his travels throughout the United States, including stops in Lancaster County, Pa., Wheeling, W.Va., and Cincinnati, Ohio. He also discusses the death of Mrs. Tyler and methods of pressing and preserving flowers.
