62nd General Hospital History

This collection houses a manuscript describing the history of the 62nd General Hospital and the lives of two soldiers, Jessie Smith and Thomas Bond, who served with the unit. This hospital company served in the European Theater of Operations in World War II from 1943 June 25 to 1945 August 1.

360th AAA Searchlight Battalion History

Abstract

In this report, Winfield E. Thompson provides a condensed history of the 360th AAA Searchlight Battalion, which served in the US Army from 1942 June 9 to 1944 December 15. The unit trained at Camp Stewart, Georgia and went on to participate in the North African and Italian campaigns, where they were charged with the illumination of enemy aircraft for the anti-aircraft (AA) defense of … cities. In 1944 December, the unit was dismantled and absorbed into other formations.

455th Bomb Group Records

This collection houses a compilation of papers documenting the 455th Bomb Group including military orders, photographs, and material showing the conception of the 455th Bomb Group Association. American National Red Cross Cap or Beanie Knitting Pattern

Edgar C. Wilson Papers

This collection consists of two pamphlets distributed to United States and Allied troops during World War II. The U. S. War Department distributed the first of these booklets to American troops newly arrived in England to provide them with an introduction to English culture. The second pamphlet was given to all Allied troops and highlights various aspects of Paris nightlife and tourist attractions.
