A. G. Dutch and Margaret Ann Roth Papers

Abstract

This collection consists primarily of approximately 8,000 photographs of the Great Smoky Mountains and the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club taken by Albert Gordon Dutch Roth between 1916 and 1960. It also houses a number of photographs taken by Dutch Roth's daughter, Margaret Ann Roth, and a variety of print materials (including correspondence, announcements and invitations, programs, and maps) documenting the SMHC.

Overview

This collection from Al Watson consists of over 1,500 color photographs taken by Watson documenting trails, vistas, and other scenery within the Great Smoky Mountains. Also included are pamphlets, correspondence, reports, and other papers documenting activities of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club as well as other activities related to the Great Smoky Mountains and the Appalachian Trail.

Fink Mountain Days Manuscript

Great Smoky Mountains Postcards and Negatives

Abstract

This collection contains various postcards of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and several negatives of the photographs that were printed on to them. There is also a miniature book containing pictures used on the postcards and a box that has miniature pictures in it as well. Also contained in the collection is sheet music contained in a large, thin book and several pricing manuals on graphic masks.
