Abstract

This collection consists of a single mounted photograph taken in 1914. It pictures ten individuals in Battery A, part of the 30th "Old Hickory" Division of the United States Army. The back of the photograph includes the names of the individuals along with their home addresses. Handwritten details about the unit's numerical identifiers can also be seen on the back.

Mitchell Long Portrait

Abstract

This print (which is an enlargement of a smaller portrait) shows Mitchell Long wearing his military uniform and standing in a studio. The reverse bears a brief biography by Long's great nephew, John M. Greene, Jr., of Memphis, Tennessee.
