James R. Delaunay collected these autographs from fellow prisoners of war while he was incarcerated in Johnson's Island, Ohio from December of 1864 to June of 1865. This item is a transcription of the original booklet, which was then in the possession of the Collierville Herald.

The collection also includes a twenty dollar bill issued by the Confederate States of America, two postcards featuring a silhouette of General Robert E. Lee on his horse Traveler, one postcard featuring The Only Confederate Drum Corps In Existence, and a Confederate battle flag pin.
