John Stone Letter

In this letter to Andrew Jackson (then practicing law in the Mero District), John Stone reports that General Winchester will deliver Colonel Martin Armstrong's obligations for "two thousand five hundred acres of Land, If he will make good titles to good Land in or near the Settlement on Station Camp Bledsoes or Goose Creek." Stone requests two 640-acre tracts for himself, provided the titles are made without delay and without any further trouble. On the verso, Jackson has noted "John Stones...
