This collection consists of several photographs of Southern Railway locomotives, as well as of unidentified conductors and workers. Several of the photographs depict a derailed Southern Railway locomotive, possibly from an accident near Avenstoke, Kentucky on September 4, 1944. The photographs are undated.

This collection consists of 20 small photographs of trains across Tennessee between 1931 and 1935. The locations of the photographs include Bruceton, Erwin, Oneida, Johnson City, Livingston, and Memphis. Many of the small photographs are stamped with "Photograph by William Monypeny" while some are unmarked.
