Abstract
A single letter written on March 22, 1844, by Spencer Jarnagin in Washington City to W. H. Thompson, Esq. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania The letter details the account of Jarnagin receiving a letter from Thompson requiring a payment. Jarnagin then proceeds to pay by check, a sum that may be retrieved at North American Bank in Philadelphia. The end of the letter also informs Thompson that his old acquaintances, General Jacobs and Hugh S. McClung, are in town and may be leaving for Philadelphia...
