 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1, item: 1
From the Collection:

This collection consists of two letters written in late 1904 to Col. Samuel L. King of Bristol, Tennessee. The first letter is from Thomas B. Carroll, Secretary to Tenn. Governor James Frazier. In the letter, written on November 18, 1904, King is told of the governor's plans of travel to see the launch of the USS Tennessee in Washington, D.C. on December 3, 1904. The second letter to King is from Henry Grove Jr. of Germantown, Pennsylvania. In this letter to King, written December 18, 1904, Grove is responding to a previous letter from King in which the latter discussed the launching event and sent clippings about the event. The collection also includes a small postage envelope that was sent along with Grove's letter.
