This collections contains issues 1, 5, 6, and 7 of Volume 1 of a University of Tennessee newspaper titled The Summer School Spectator. These issues published in 1909. The newspaper contains articles, advertisements, and classifieds pertaining to the Knoxville area.

This collection contains a pamphlet commemorating the history of the University of Tennessee at the 150th anniversary of its establishment (1794-1944). The pamphlet contains a condensed history of the university and pictures of the campus: the halls, The Hill, and an areoplane view. Also included are programs to the celebration held on November 17th, 1944, with lists of department heads and speakers at a day-long banquet and forum.

This 24 x 20.5- inch photograph depicts the the 1894 graduating class of the University of Tennesee's Medical Department. Pictured in the center is the faculty of the department and surrounding them are the graduating students. Under each student portrait was his name and hometown. A majority of the students came from the state of the university.
