This collection contains two daguerreotypes, one featuring a man and woman and the other featuring a young woman. Neither image is dated or identified, although the donor believed the couple to be part of the Sevier family.
Receipt to Joseph A. Mabry from Rolfe S. Saunders, 1870 August 22
This collection contains a receipt to Joseph A. Mabry from Rolfe S. Saunders promising repayment of a loan. The receipt is dated August 22, 1870. The loan amounted to two thousand dollars and payment was to begin eighteen months for date on which the receipt was signed. Also on the receipt is a stamp featuring George Washington. It reads "1 dollar U. S. Inter. Revenue Life Insurance."
B. R. McKinnie Carte de Visite, circa 1861-1865
This collection contains a single black and white carte de visite photograph of B. R. McKinnie. The date on the verso side (1861-1865) suggests this photograph was taken during the American Civil War. The photographer's stamp is also printed on the back and reads "Morse's Gallery of the Cumberland in Nashville, Tennessee."

The notebook of Marie Louise Bartow of Louisiana contains copies of numerous poems, speeches, and recipes. The majority of the book is written in ink. Also included are loose materials that were folded into the notebook. These include clippings, two leafs from Lights of Temperance, funeral notices for W. Benton Garner and George C. Powell, and a receipt from Charles Eble for an order of camellias.

This collection contains a campaign card for George McClellan and Horatio Seymour. It holds the faces of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Andrew Jackson along with McClellan and Seymour as "Beacon Lights for American freedom." The card is not dated but is likely from 1864 when McClellan beat Seymour for the Democratic candidacy for president in opposition to Abraham Lincoln.

Most of the clippings deal with Southern politics in party platforms, the State and National Congress,, Supreme Court decisions, and the economy. There are many poems, short biographies, and interesting facts.

This collection is a scrapbook containing newspaper clippings kept by the Shields family of Bean Station, Tennessee. The clippings pertain to politics in the local and national arenas, mostly dealing with the Reconstruction Era South and especially (East) Tennessee. There are also several poems, very short biographies, and interesting facts. Another item is a 1938 article on late politician Robert Love Taylor of Tennessee (some articles in the scrapbook mention him).
