This collection consists of a book of prescription records from various pharmacies and physicians in Knoxville, Tennessee between 1874 and 1883. Businesses included in this record book are Lyons & McCampbell, Hunter & Co., Rodgers Brothers, and Albers & Co.
John Thompson Diary
This collection consists of a handwritten diary of John Thompson's with entries dated between 1803-1811. Included is a travel account of Thompson's journey by boat from Nashville, Tennessee, to New Orleans, Louisiana, and his return on land via the Natchez Trace. Other entries include recipes, remedies, and miscellaneous tales. Typed notes about his entries accompanies the diary.
Recipes, Remedies and Court Records
This bound volume consists of 80 pages of recipes, including many dessert recipes. The back of the volume contains several pages of notes on court cases, as well as a list of home remedies. The year 1906 appears on one page, but the whole of the volume is not dated.
T. W. Cooper Receipt
This handwritten receipt charges Arthur Fuller $1.50 for T. W. Cooper's medical visit to his "negro girl." The receipt is originally dated November 29, 1857 and is updated on January 25, 1858 to note that the payment was received.
