Scope and Contents Note From the Collection:

This collection contains one Knox County court summons for the Union Bank president, Thomas William Humes, to answer a Bill in Equity, filed against him by John Caniger Sr. It is signed by "clerk and master of the court" J. F. Deaderick, and by Humes on the back with a handwritten acknowledgement of receipt.
