The Magill Family Genealogical Papers spans the years 1914 to 1966 and concerns the genealogical research done on the Johnston-Magill family in East Tennessee. Scope and Contents Note From the Collection:

This collection contains a list of those buried in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee. The survey was conducted by Roscoe C. D'Armand in 1960, adding to a survey conducted by Dr. Andrew P. White in 1901, when several graves were moved in preparation of construction on the church. The typed document in 35 pages in length.

Scope and Contents Note From the Collection: This collection consists of 20 small photographs of trains across Tennessee between 1931 and 1935. The locations of the photographs include Bruceton, Erwin, Oneida, Johnson City, Livingston, and Memphis. Many of the small photographs are stamped with "Photograph by William Monypeny" while some are unmarked. Also included is one mounted photograph of the Incline Railway on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga which is undated but includes the stamp of "Rollins & Linn," photographers from...

Southgate Cregmile Letters, 1862 March 19-1865 May 25

Scope and Contents Note From the Collection:

This collection consists of thirty-two letters to and from Southgate Cregmile during the Civil War (1862-1865). Cregmile served in the 69th Regiment, Ohio Infantry. The letters are addressed to his family back home and to his brother, Crittenden Cregmile, who also served in the military during the Civil War. Cregmile's letters to his mother and brother discuss the daily activities of a Union Soldier during the Civil War.
