A single document from Headquarters Department of Tennessee, dated August 13, 1865, appointing Major Alpheus M. Beebe (spelled Beebee on the document) an administering officer for the amnesty oath in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The papers of Dr. Alwin Thaler consist of copy and notes used in the preparation of two books. One book was in co-editorship with Prof. Charles Mills Gayley. The book was Vol. IV of Gayley's "Representative English Comedies." The second book, whose galleys or printers proofs are in the collection, is Thaler's "Shakespeare and Democracy."

This collection consists of a typescript of Alwin Thaler's "Ports and Happy Havens: An Autobiography." Also included are letters sent to and from Alwin Thaler and a few index cards with notes.

This collection consists of several copies of a list of publications (not including books) by Alwin Thaler. One of the copies of the list is labeled as having been revised in December of 1941; this copy features many handwritten additions to the list, including a note saying that the copy was corrected in 1955.

A copy of Alwin Thaler's "Memoirs and Perspectives," a work Thaler created in the 1970s that was meant to be a sequel to his first autobiography; the work was never finished due to Thaler's death in 1977.

The 1954-1955 report card of Alzada Knickerbocker records the progress of the child of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Knickerbocker over four quarters, culminating with the assignment of Alzada to the 6th grade on June 3, 1955, by teacher Miss Anna Davidson.

This deed grants Ambrose Whitlock 80 acres of land in the district of Terra Haute, Indiana. It was signed by President James Monroe on September 10, 1823.

This tract opens with the Declaration from the formation of the American Anti-Slavery Society in Philadelphia on December 4, 1833. On the third page, it provides the preamble to the Constitution of the Society and the beginning of an address given to the Society in New York City on May 7, 1844. This address explained their reasons for calling for secession from the Union as long as slavery is tolerated. On the bottom of the fourth page are listed four anti-slavery newspapers.

The topics covered include membership, policy resolutions, and legislative affairs in addition to notes and reports on complaints and grievances on the administration of various Tennessee universities.
