This collection consists of an autograph book of Confederate officers' signatures, compiled by Captain Robert M. McIntire while a prisoner of war at Johnson's Island in Lake Erie from 1863 to 1865. The collection also includes a twenty dollar bill issued by the Confederate States of America, two postcards featuring a silhouette of General Robert E. Lee on his horse Traveler, one postcard featuring The Only Confederate Drum Corps In Existence, and a Confederate battle flag pin.

This collection consists of a bound, handwritten, and illustrated memoir, written by W. J. Worsham, recording the history of the Old 19th Tennessee Regiment of the Confederate States of America, which was based in Knoxville, Tennessee. The book was dedicated in 1902 to the survivors and fallen soldiers of the regiment, according to a written note from the author.

Thomas C. McInturff Letter

Abstract

Thomas C. McInturff wrote this letter to his father in East Tennessee from Camp Crawford in Vicksburg, Mississippi on February 19, 1863. In it, he discusses his and Sam's health, asks his father to settle some affairs on his behalf, complains that the food and the weather are both very poor, and states that he believes that Vicksburg is the nastiest place on earth. A notation at the end of the letter indicates that it was written by a friend B. F. F.

Thomas N. Skelton Certificate of Disability

Abstract This certificate of disability for discharge from the Army of the Confederate States of America verifies that Thomas N. Skelton is unable to perform the duties of a soldier in the 27th Tennessee Infantry Regiment. He was examined by Army Surgeon A. Wright, who found that he had two separate wounds.
