This collection contains several editions of “The Masthead (USS Hydrus)” newsletter and a photocopy of a World War II-era map of Okinawa, Japan.

This collection consists of items related to Robert Newcomb’s World War II military service, especially with the Lodwick Aviation Military Academy (LAMA) including Newcomb’s diploma from 1944 and a copy of a LAMA yearbook for the 61st Army Air Force flying training detachment. Also included are two photos of Newcomb and a plane at Cochran Field in Macon, Georgia, from 1944. All items in this collection are photocopies.
