This collection features a copy of Calm Seas, Friendly Beaches: A Landing Craft Sailor's Prayer written by Gerald M. Yankee and copyrighted in 2014. In this book, Yankee dictates his experience as a sailor in World War II for U.S. Naval landing crafts in the Pacific Theatre of war.

The publication chronicles Hutchison’s military service in World War II serving on the USS Colorado. Hutchison originally published this work in 1980 using his diary from the war as inspiration. The book includes his narrative alongside copies of photographs and letters. This copy includes a handwritten note from Hutchison at the front of the book from 1990.
