This collection houses correspondence, legal documents, publications, and other materials documenting the University of Tennessee, Nashville from 1962 to 1980. Of particular interest are the items showing the accusations of segregation and subsequent merger with Tennessee State University.

This collection consists primarily of University of Tennessee News Releases and Other Materials issued between the 1960s and 1996. Among the topics covered are athletics, health issues, disaster response, University administration, prominent individuals, and Tennessee infrastructure.

This collection houses materials documenting C. E. Brehm's service as the President of the University of Tennessee (1946-1948, 1948-1959). Among the subjects represented are athletics, student organizations, property acquisitions, desegregation, and individual departments.

This specific collection of University of Tennessee related sheet music contains four different pieces. It includes two different versions of the school's Alma Mater circa 1928, a booklet of sheet music titled "Songs of the Volunteers" published in 1929, undated sheet music for "Dear Old Elm-Clad Hill", and undated sheet music for Pi Kappa Alpha's "Sweetheart".

This collection consists of color postcards showing various University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus views and specific campus buildings. The subjects depicted include views of the campus from Circle Park, Barbara Blount Hall, Ferris Hall, the main entrance to the Hill, Ayres Hall, Sophronia Strong Residence Hall, the Home Economics Building, and the Agricultural Experiment Station. The postmarks range from 1905 to 1941. The collection also includes a report of grades postmarked in 1933.

This collection contains postcards of print images of the University of Tennessee, a good number of them with messages and stamps. The cards have a copyright date of 1903. While most are postmarked no later than 1920, two are postmarked 1949.

This collection houses papers (including correspondence, subject files, and other materials) created by the Office of the President during the tenures of Charles W. Dabney (1887-1904), Brown Ayres (1904-1919), Harcourt Morgan (1919-1934), and James D. Hoskins (1934-1946). The bulk of the collection dates from the Morgan and Hoskins administrations. These papers were formerly referred to as the Transferred Files (Folders 1-799) and the Retired Files (Folders 800-1012).

This collection houses official papers created during the presidencies of Thomas W. Humes (1865-1883), Charles W. Dabney (1887-1904), Brown Ayres (1904-1919), Harcourt Morgan (1919-1934) and James D. This collection houses materials (including a Charter of Incorporation) documenting the University of Tennessee Research Corporation. Much of the information dates from the late 1960s and illustrates such issues as control over research funding, especially in the area of Public Health.

This collection houses two scrapbooks produced by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Each contains a summation of the University's history from 1794 to 1897 on the inside cover and official University photographs of the main buildings on campus. The first scrapbook was never used but the second belonged to University of Tennessee student Harriette Locke Arnell and documents her time at the University from September 1919 to June 1920.
