This collection houses a list of music courses offered by the University of Tennessee's Department of Fine Arts in 1947.

This collection consists of winter and fall course packets for the University of Tennessee's Department of History dating from 1973 to 1974 and from 1976 to 1979. These packets consist of a list of upper division courses offered, including the course number, title, period, synopsis, professor, and time.

The University of Tennessee's Department of History published this newsletter, entitled Footnotes, in the fall of 2004. It includes an interview with Professor Thomas Burman about his book on reading the Koran in Latin Christendom and an article about Professor Bruce Wheeler's retirement in addition to information about faculty awards, research, and alumni.

The University of Tennessee's Department of History conducted this self-evaluation of its Doctor of Philosophy program in 1975. Among the topics discussed are faculty publications and awards, data on recruitment and financial assistance of graduate students, admission procedures, degree requirements, and the department's future plans and aspirations. The appendices include faculty vitas and lists of doctoral graduates from 1965 to 1976.

The Department of Marketing, Logistics, and Transportation Academic Program Review Records (1994 February 18-1995 September 29, 1998 July 7-September 1) contain program recommendations, plans of action, financial histories, program histories, budget concerns, discussion summaries addressing program concerns, faculty vitas (in the form of memorandums), charts, reports, and a comprehensive self-study report describing all departmental activities from 1989 through 1994.

The University of Tennessee's Department of Nuclear Engineering completed this self-study in 2007.

This document is a psychophysical design experiment from the Department of Public Welfare. It is designed to test different groups of people and their perceptions of stimuli, of subliminal influence, and their unconscious perceptions.

The Department of State Weekly Bulletin Collection, 1945-1946 (bulk 1945), contains issues of the Department of State's weekly bulletin. Issues include articles, addresses, statements, and other useful information for interested public groups.

This collection consists of a bounty land certificate dated January 10, 1856 issued to William A. Foote by the Office of the Commissioner of Pensions for service in Captain Smith's company, Virginia Militia, in the War of 1812. The certificate grants 160 acres of land.

This collection consists of a series of letters written between Colonel George McClellan Derby and his mother, Mary (Coons) Derby. At the time, Mary Derby was living in Chattanooga, Tennessee and George Derby was serving with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in such places as New Orleans, Louisiana; Smithville, Kentucky; and Louisville, Kentucky. The letters contain family updates and questions about George Derby's life and activities.

This commemorative program celebrates the 50th anniversary of the University of Tennessee's Development Council.

This collection documents Deward Grissom's military service in World War II, particularly his time in England. Included are photographs, postcards of places traveled, maps, correspondence, and some ephemeral items. The pieces of correspondence detail some of his experiences while in England. Also in the collection are military records, including papers regarding classes available to servicemen at Oxford University.

This collection consists of military documents, yearbooks, photographs, and correspondence which document Dewey E. Crowe's service in the United States Air Force during World War II.

This collection contains letters, sympathy cards, military science and tactics handbooks, and newspapers from Dewey Murphy's military service in Europe during World War II.

This small leaflet, entitled "Message of the Governor" presents the alarming conditions of the state penitentiary and requests the Tennessee Senate and House of Representatives take some definite and prompt action before they adjourn for the holidays. The alarming conditions were the result of overcrowding and immense indebtedness. It is signed in type by D.W.C. Senter.

A handwritten diary, written between 1834 and 1838, by a Disbursing Agent for the removal of the Cherokee Indians from the southeastern United States. The diary follows the author's travels through the southeast in the time leading up to the removal and documents their work and interactions with the Cherokee people.

This collection houses a phony dollar dated November 5, 1968 promoting civil rights activist Dick Gregory for President and Mark Lane for Vice President. These souvenirs were handed out to students when Gregory spoke at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the winter of 1968-1969.

World War II documents and photographs of veteran Digby G. Seymour including pieces of Japanese currency and photographs of a Nazi Party rally in Austria.

This set of directions for registering for classes was issued to University of Tennessee students in 1936.
