Lloyd Hamilton Boyd Collection
The material in this collection documents the World War II military service of Lloyd Hamilton Boyd. Included are approximately 50 letters written from Boyd to members of his family in North Carolina; these were written while Boyd was stationed at Camp Cooke in California as well as overseas in the European Theatre of War (including from England, France, Belgium, and Germany). Also included are ration books, unused V-mail sheets, copies of newspaper clippings, and some memorabilia.
Lyman C. Flanders Civil War Letter
This collection consists of a Civil War Letter written by Lyman C. Flanders on April 26, 1864, from Knoxville. In the letter, Flanders asked his friend Huntington to go to Captain Mills' office to retrieve a favorite pistol taken from him at the Chattanooga Depot.

Marcus Richardson Correspondence

Written from Cumberland Gap, Tenn., the letter details the reconnaissance and skirmish that took place at Cumberland Gap in the days prior under the command of Major General Edmund Kirby Smith. The letter is dated March 23, 1862.
