This collection consists of photocopies of Leroy Neal's personal papers regarding his service in WWII. The collection includes Leroy Neal's autobiographical essay about serving as a radio operator and side gunner on a B-24 bomber, 2 photographs, 2 letters to his parents, a service diary, and news clippings. Also included is an issue of the journal publication Sortie.

Brown” of Knoxville, Tennessee, comments on Fox’s time with Brown’s son in a hospital during the war. Also included is a copy of a 1975 article on Fox’s life and death.

This collection consists of one copy of War Ration Book For (number 107643) issued to Lillie Evans of Servilla, Tennessee in approximately 1943.

This collection is a typed transcript of a speech given by Lindsey Nelson to the East Tennessee Historical Society. Nelson recounts his experiences leading up to and serving during World War II.

This collection consists of an interview conducted with Lionel Greer in New York, N.Y. Greer, a WWII veteran, was interviewed by the Center for the Study of War and Society in 2003 for the Veteran's Oral History Project.

This collection houses correspondence, publications, memoirs, photographs, newspaper and magazine clippings, and other materials that Lisa M. Budreau accumulated during the course of her research into the impact that stationing American troops in the small English town of Grantham had on the soldiers and on their British hosts.

The material in this collection documents the World War II military service of Lloyd Hamilton Boyd. Included are approximately 50 letters written from Boyd to members of his family in North Carolina; these were written while Boyd was stationed at Camp Cooke in California as well as overseas in the European Theatre of War (including from England, France, Belgium, and Germany). Also included are ration books, unused V-mail sheets, copies of newspaper clippings, and some memorabilia.

This collection consists of a transcript of an interview with Lonas Tarr by G. Kurt Piehler and Kathryn P. O'Donnell conducted on March 7, 2003 in Knoxville, Tennessee as part of the Center for the Study of War and Society's Veteran's Oral History Project. Tarr speaks of his childhood in Jefferson City, his experiences in the Air Force during World War II, and his postwar life working as an American Airlines pilot in Europe.

The London's Daily Mail Weekly Digest Collection, 1944, consists of issues of London's Daily Mail Weekly Digest for several months in 1944.

This collection houses Louise Atkinson's World War II era scrapbook. Atkinson lived in the port town of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, and much of the scrapbook documents the military happenings of the time.

The Lt. John B. Routien Papers, 1944-1953, contains papers related to Routien's service in the U. S. Army. Included are promotion records, records of leave, health records, and reassignments.

This collection consists of a July 25, 1862 letter from a paroled Civil War solider, military postcards from World War I, and a photograph and clippings from World War II.

This collection houses ration books issued to the Luttrell, Walling, McClure, Dunwoody, Aucker, Johnston, and Goehring families of Knoxville, Tennessee and to the Bucklew family of West Virginia during World War II. Ration books one through four are represented in addition to ration tokens and wallets to hold these materials.

The M. B. Bibee Papers, 1942-1946, consist primarily of correspondence to Bibee during World War II, and letters of recommendation about Bibee. The collection also includes several poems written by Bibee, as well as Navy newsletters.

This collection contains a sketch by World War II U. S. Army veteran M. H. Kunselman of a battle scene in Belgium.

This collection consists of three letters, dated March 6, June 10, and June 17, 1943. All three were written to Mrs. Ruth Johnson of Atlanta from PFC M. M. Torres, Jr., who was stationed in Smyrna, Tenn., with the 47th Command Squadron during World War II. In the letters, Torres complains about his assignment and discusses routine actions.

This collection houses military records documenting Major Lawrence S. Barker's service in the United States Marine Corps (1942-1946) and United States Marine Corps Reserves (1946-1964). The collection also includes military publications, photographs, postcards, correspondence, and ephemera from the World War II era.
