This collection consists of library catalog books, certificates, pamphlets, photographs, and press clippings belonging to the Hudson family. Charles Hudson was an engineer who built the last wooden bridge across the Mississippi River.
Charles H. Pierce Papers
This collection houses two books that Union Sergeant Charles H. Pierce used to keep a diary and record roll call in addition to a formal studio portrait depicting Pierce in his later years wearing his Grand Army of the Republic Star.

Charles Henry Shriner Diary
Charles Henry Shriner wrote the bulk of this diary while traveling through Tennessee between October of 1843 and April of 1844. During this trip, he stayed in the Nashville area, visited Andrew Jackson, learned about slavery and abolition, and participated in political activities. Shriner added a brief biographical sketch (including an index of major events) at a later date at the end of the book.

Also included are Charles Barber's personal files, including notes and projects from the University of Pennsylvania, personal files of Blanche Barber, files related to individual projects, and general correspondence.
Charles I. Eisiminger Wartime Memories
This collection includes a three-page typed document related to Charles Eisiminger's World War II military service. The document is structured as answers to "Questions for Veterans"; the questions are not present. The document covers Eisiminger's experiences joining and training with the Army Air Corps and his active service during and after World War II. Eisiminger also reminisces about fellow soldiers and observations about the effects of war.

Charles Lanman Collection of Political Autobiographical Sketches
This collection consists of biographical and autobiographical letters, written circa 1858 – 1868, concerning 52 Tennessee legislators who lived between 1757 and 1918. The letters were sent to Charles Lanman at his request from the legislators or their surviving relatives for use in Lanman's Dictionary of the United States Congress.
Charles Miller Civil War Letter
This collection contains a single handwritten letter from soldier Charles Miller, dated March 29, 1864, to Richard Cochran of Piketon, Ohio. Miller writes the letter from Knoxville, Tennessee. The envelope is included.

Charles O. Hill Account Books
This collection consists of two account books owned by Charles O. Hill. The books record his personal and business transactions from 1883-1903. In the personal transactions, he recorded his purchases of meat, coffee, whiskey, and collared shirts. In the business transactions, he recorded his buying of bulk food purchases for his store.
Charles Otis Rainwater Papers
This collection features three newspaper clippings about Lieutenant Charles O. Rainwater's crash landing in April of 1943 in Central America during World War II. The collection also houses a map of France sent to Rainwater's father with an accompanying letter, dated May 19, 1943, and several undated photographs of Rainwater, his plane, and the plane wreckage.

Charles Steele Documents
This collection consists of five letters written by Charles Steele, a soldier in Company D of the 53rd Regiment of Indiana Volunteers, between April 1, 1862 and August 10, 1863 in Savannah (Tennessee), Memphis (Tennessee), and Vicksburg (Mississippi) to his mother and sister. Also included in this collection is a letter to Steele's sister from her niece, Maggie, expressing concern for Charles Steele, as well as a color photocopy of Steele's Compiled Military Service Record (CMSR).
Charles T. Cates Account Book
This ledger documents the accounts of Maryville lawyer Charles T. Cates between 1866 and 1876. In each record, Cates lists the name of his client, describes the services he performed, and indicates how much he charged. An index (arranged by the client's last name) appears on the first few pages of the book.
